Must have neuro and ortho experience as this is a significant number of cases.
Must have robotics experience.


Description:
Candidates must follow a fingernail policy; artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
Refusal to remove artificial nails will lead to termination of the contract.
Candidates will work in an operating room setting.
Common cases include general surgeries such as bowel, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, gastrectomy, hernia repairs, and organ procurements.
Laparoscopic cases include procedures like cholecystectomy and hysterectomy.
Gynecological cases include cesarean sections and hysterectomies.
Urology cases include circumcision and nephrectomy.
Orthopedic cases include total knees and hips, ORIF surgeries, and closed reductions.
Neurosurgical cases include procedures such as craniotomies, tumor resections, and shunts.
Plastic surgeries include trauma revisions and skin grafts.
Ocular surgeries include vitrectomy and procedures for traumatic eye injuries.
Ear, nose, and throat surgeries include tonsillectomies, sinus surgeries, and myringotomies.
Thoracic cases involve procedures such as lobectomies and thoracotomies.
Endoscopic procedures may include bronchoscopy and colonoscopy.
Pediatric patients may be encountered in emergency situations.
The position requires experience with robotic surgical systems and other advanced technology.
Shifts may consist of 8 or 12-hour durations from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
Weeknight call typically includes a 4-hour period after a shift, and weekend call occurs approximately every 5 weeks.
Candidates should be mindful of scheduling needs and requested time off upfront, with limited additional requests being approved.
Cancellation of shifts may occur according to specific policies.
The charting system used is EPIC.
This is an acute care setting, and floating outside of the operating room is not required.
Scrubs are provided by the facility.
