Maintenance TechnicianPerth Amboy Board Of EducationQualifications:1. Possess a high school diploma or GED.2. Three years of experience in field installations and troubleshooting.3. Valid black seal license (or higher).4. Valid New Jersey driver's license.5. Knowledge and proficiency in CMMS a plus.6. Must have physical strength, endurance and be able to lift 50 pounds.7. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.8. Have the ability to work with a variety of people, collaboratively with a team member mindset for the benefit of the greater good of the educational system.9. Demonstrate enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.10.Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, (additional language skills preferred) while using proper grammar and vocabulary.11.Provide proof of U. S. citizenship or legal resident alien status by completing Federal Form, I-9.12.Pass the required Mantoux Intradermal Tuberculin Test.13.Provide evidence that a criminal record history check has been conducted and clearance has been given by the Department of Education.Reports To:The Maintenance Technician reports to both the Maintenance Supervisor and the Director of Buildings and Grounds.Duties And Responsibilities:1. Perform all aspects of technical maintenance and repair.2. Maintain and update CMMS to include work orders, purchases, time spent on projects/repairs, and preventative maintenance scheduling and confirming.3. Assist in snow removal operations at the direction of the Director of Buildings and Grounds or designee.4. Be available for emergency call at any time.5. Perform other duties as may be specified by the Maintenance Supervisor, Director of Buildings and Grounds, Operations Manager and/or designee.Verification Of Competency:a. District application and resume. b. Required documentation outlined in the qualifications above. c. A minimum of three letters of reference from former employers, or other professional sources, or copies of recent evaluations. d. Official college transcripts (if applicable). e.
