Maintenance MechanicLocation: Edison, NJ Pay: $70,000 – $78,000 annually (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm (with rotating on-call and weekend coverage)PeopleShare is partnering with a well-established, reputable organization known for its strong focus on safety, reliability, and long-term employee development. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic seeking stability and growth in a dynamic environment.Job SummaryThis role will involve a mix of plant and field work, supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment across pumping stations, water storage facilities, and related systems.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and facility equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systemsService chemical feed systems and monitoring equipmentPerform preventative maintenance and support system upgradesInspect system protection and emergency equipment (generators, lighting, etc.)Maintain accurate repair records and parts inventory using CMMSAssist with facility upkeep and support emergency response effortsFollow all safety policies and proceduresQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid New Jersey driver's license6+ years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenanceStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot independentlyExperience with CMMS systemsSafety-focused mindset (OSHA/HAZWOPER experience is a plus)Backgrounds in water/wastewater, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments are highly transferableIf you're a motivated Maintenance Mechanic looking to join a stable, safety-focused organization, we encourage you to apply.
