Job Description
The Cook 1/Prep Cook plays a vital role in the kitchen by preparing ingredients, assisting chefs, and ensuring timely and quality meal production. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards to support smooth kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as directed
- Assist with cooking dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstation
- Store food items properly to ensure freshness and prevent contamination
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols at all times
- Assist with inventory control and restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to facilitate meal prep and service
- Help with dishwashing and other kitchen tasks when assigned
