Consumer Finance Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of relevant experience counseling financial institutions and technology providers on federal and state financial laws and regulations. Duties Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on financial laws and regulations. Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses. Draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents. Advise clients on compliance with commercial and consumer financial regulations. Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions. Requirements 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to client service and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. Education & Certifications Education: JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications: Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located required. Skills Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses. Regulatory interpretation and contract drafting skills. Ability to advise on compliance with financial regulations.
