Diploma or Equivalent required Experience: 1 Year Customer Service Experience required Licenses and Certifications: CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate (Upon Hire preferred) Skills and Abilities Strong written, oral, and telephone communication skills Knowledge of general office equipment, PCs, and associated software packages Typing speed of 35 WPM corrected for errors (preferred) General knowledge of medical terminology (preferred) What You Will Do Accurately gather complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records and billing processes flow efficiently Obtain and/or update verification of benefits and/or pre‑certification for applicable tests and procedures Prepare, present, and thoroughly explain applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensure proper consents are signed by appropriate parties and maintain documentation Maximize reimbursement for services rendered by appropriately identifying insurance carrier and benefits to prevent denials and ensure timely notification of admission to carriers Assist patients in understanding financial obligations; collect copayments, self‑pay deposits, and patient balances to reduce Accounts Receivable Stay abreast of and comply with applicable regulations, entity and/or system policies and procedures; maintain customer service and productivity guidelines set by leadership Additional Perks of Being an Admission Specialist Gain a sense of accomplishment by contributing in a teamwork environment Receive excellent mentorship, comprehensive training, and dedicated leadership resources Enjoy opportunities for growth Entity Highlights Texas Health Fort Worth is a 726‑bed Magnet‑designated, full‑service hospital serving the community since 1930.
