Accounting Intern

With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team in Camarillo! This is a temporary, ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical exposure to corporate finance and accounting operations. The intern will support the accounting team across a variety of day-to-day functions, with an emphasis on accounts receivable and collections support.


Responsibilities:

• Reviews open accounts for collection and past due invoices to reduce overall receivables. Makes outbound collection calls in a professional manner, maintaining and improving customer relations. Mails correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Identifies root cause issues attributing to account delinquency and discussing with management team to improve processes and timely collection.
• Assist the accounting team with reviewing open accounts and supporting accounts receivable and collections activities.
• Help prepare and send routine customer correspondence regarding outstanding or past-due invoices.
• Support outbound follow-up communications with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in identifying and documenting account discrepancies or recurring issues, and share observations with the team to help improve processes.
• Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and spreadsheets.
• Perform general administrative and data-entry tasks to support the broader finance team.
• Participate in special projects and process-improvement initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Recently completed a college degree; a focus in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills, with a professional and approachable communication style.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat a plus.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary Range (applicable to California):

$24.00 - 26.00 per hour DOE
