As we scale rapidly, delivering exceptional consumer experiences across these digital health tools is central to our mission.We are seeking a visionary Director / Associate Director of Product Management, Consumer Apps to support the strategy, development, and execution of our consumer companion app portfolio. This is a strategic role for a sharp problem-solver and skilled storyteller who can translate research and data into insight, and insight into influence, shaping product direction for our consumer-facing digital health applications. This role is pivotal in shaping how people managing chronic disease engage with digital tools that support their care—driving core KPIs via customer-centric design and product excellence. As a product leader, you will define and lead the strategies and roadmaps for consumer companion apps designed to improve health outcomes and build lasting consumer trust. The ideal candidate builds trust easily across internal and external partners, navigates competing priorities among senior stakeholders, and knows how to turn a compelling narrative into product momentum.We develop an end-to-end approach to strategy, focusing on every touchpoint that impacts our customers. We leverage data and insights to inform our decision-making processes, ensuring that our strategies are rooted in a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors. More specifically, we are interested in using digital technologies to improve the health outcomes of those using our products. Coupling our medicines with digital solutions, we believe we can enable significant improvements in healthy outcomes for our customers.What You Will Do:Product Strategy and RoadmapPartner with product leadership to help define future-state vision and roadmap for consumer companion apps. Prioritize investments based on consumer impact, health outcomes, and business goals, and ensure consistent delivery across the portfolio. Dig into research and data to extract meaningful insights, then craft clear, compelling narratives that make the "so what" obvious to stakeholders and influence product and strategic direction.Team First MentalityEmbody a no-ego, team-first mentality in all interactions. Collaborate closely with design and engineering to ensure solutions are grounded in consumer needs, technically feasible, and aligned with the broader product experience. Champion the voice of the consumer in every product decision, using research, usage data, and qualitative insights to inform priorities.User Experience and DesignPartner with user research to bring in findings that inform product decisions and post-launch iteration. Collaborate closely with UX and research to ensure app experiences are intuitive and frictionless, anticipating consumer needs before they arise. Advocate for design quality and accessibility throughout the product lifecycle.Technical Collaboration and StandardsCollaborate with Business Analysts/Product Owners on requirements, workflows, and designs for new features, providing input as features move toward build and testing. Establish technical standards and ensure scalable, modular solutions that can flex with product expansion.Stakeholder Engagement and Thought LeadershipBuild and maintain strong relationships with collaborators. Communicate app performance, strategic direction, and improvement opportunities in a way that resonates with and influences stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Serve as the internal subject matter expert on consumer companion app best practices.Operational Excellence and Resource PlanningWork closely with data and analytics teams to define and track in-market KPIs, asking the right questions of the data to uncover opportunities for improvement. Depending on skills and interests, may oversee UAT (User Acceptance Testing), launch execution, and/or the research and data function, using insights to help drive roadmap and strategic direction.Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing) or relevant experience required.Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Additional Skills & Preferences Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in product management or relevant experience, with a strong focus on consumer-facing digital products, ideally in healthcare or a highly regulated industry.Strong problem-solving instincts, with the ability to break down ambiguous challenges and drive toward practical solutions.Strong preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience using research and insights to inform product development, usability/human factors expertise, or firsthand marketing experience.Demonstrated storytelling ability: comfortable translating research and data into narratives that inform and influence decisions at the senior leadership level.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trust, manage, and influence multiple high-level stakeholders with competing priorities.Experience managing internal and external partners, including scoping, timeline management, and holding partners to delivery and quality commitments.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance considerations in the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA regulations) is a significant plus.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions. The anticipated wage for this position is$132,000 - $193,600Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
