Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized care for patients in a telemetry unit. The role involves monitoring patients with cardiac conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data for cardiac patients.
• Administer medications and blood products as needed.
• Provide care for patients with feeding tubes and manage IVs, ports, and central lines.
• Conduct assessments and manage patients with various comorbidities, especially in stroke and neurological care.
• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.
• Collaborate with IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and other support staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
• Clear understanding of patient ratios and safety protocols in telemetry nursing.
