Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room by employing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures. The role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership abilities to ensure the safe delivery of patient care within the Emergency Department.Key ResponsibilitiesUtilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.Demonstrate leadership in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery.Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of assigned staff.Provide direction and supervision to personnel delivering patient care.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.Active nursing license in the state of practice required.Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.Charge nurse experience is preferred.Willingness to float to different areas of the Emergency Department as needed.NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required.Facility InformationEmergency Department with 38 beds.Trauma Level III Certified.Stroke and STEMI receiving facility.This position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in the fast-paced environment of the Emergency Department, contributing to the health and well-being of the community.
