About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its New York region. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the organization's mission to close the opportunity gap and expand postsecondary opportunities for young people. This pivotal role involves serving as the primary external face, visionary leader, and chief revenue strategist, with a strong focus on fundraising, partnerships, and brand-building. The Executive Director will be responsible for meeting an ambitious regional revenue target, cultivating major donor relationships, and expanding the organization's footprint. Internally, the role requires a steady, unifying leadership style that fosters a strong, trust-based team culture and drives programmatic excellence. The ideal candidate will be a results-driven revenue strategist, an innovative growth and coalition builder, and a leader who can elevate others and lead with vision. Candidates for the Executive Director position should be deeply committed to creating a workplace where all people can thrive and to elevating the voices of the young people served by the organization. They must have a proven track record in fundraising, with experience in both philanthropic and earned revenue, and a strong network within the New York funder and philanthropic community. The role demands a leader with a builder's mindset, capable of navigating complex educational environments and leading through ambiguity. The Executive Director will also be expected to collaborate with national and regional teams, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic direction and contributing to its long-term vision.
