Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A retail pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide critical support in Galena, Illinois. This contract role spans approximately 8 weeks with a Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position offers the potential to transition to permanent employment depending on fit and mutual interest.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications safely and efficiently under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager
• Counsel patients on their prescriptions, medication regimens, and answer medication-related questions
• Address patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints following organizational policy
• Maintain accurate stock levels, controlled drug records, and conduct inventory management
• Resolve patient issues and assist with clarifying third-party insurance coverage

Qualifications:

• Active, clear pharmacist license in the state of Illinois is required
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
• Experience with Pioneer pharmacy software preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills to enhance patient care

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 1st shift
