About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience required. Current Trauma 1 experience and EPIC experience required. License: RN License in good standing Certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required Must-Have: Current Trauma 1 experience EPIC experience Description: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care to patients utilizing the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources, within the institution's philosophy. Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service. Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided for use by the healthcare team. Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care based on patient and family needs. Implements the plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures. Modifies the plan of care based on continuous evaluation. Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting safety hazards and incidents. Communicates with others directly and privately when necessary to resolve issues. Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers and confers with colleagues to expand the knowledge base. Identifies own learning needs and initiates appropriate solutions. Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies. Floats to various inpatient units as needed. Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training, as needed. Provides direct nursing care, collaborating with other multidisciplinary team members to provide patient care to various populations. Conducts and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care. Precepts staff as needed. Coordinates care to multidisciplinary team members to facilitate the highest possible quality patient care. Candidate must have current Trauma 1 experience and EPIC experience.
