Sales Engineer : Richmond, IL

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Engineer to join a growing organization in the electrical manufacturing industry. This role serves as a key liaison between sales administration, manufacturing, engineering, and customers by providing technical support, preparing cost estimates, managing customer inquiries, and supporting the overall sales strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into practical product solutions while supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inbound sales inquiries from sales representatives, engineers, architects, and other technical professionals
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and documentation to develop accurate cost estimates and quotations
• Provide technical guidance regarding product applications, operation, and maintenance
• Address and overcome technical and business objections from prospective customers
• Prepare sales orders and coordinate delivery schedules based on production timelines
• Collaborate with internal departments including manufacturing, engineering, and sales administration to ensure customer satisfaction
• Support account management, lead analysis, forecasting, and business reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely follow-up throughout the sales process
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Skills & Experience :

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
• Experience : 2+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• Knowledge: ERP or MRP software, design software, order processing systems
• Software: Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000/year + bonus opportunity

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
