CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesSign-on Bonus up to $20,000 AND Education Assistance (student loan payoff) up to $24,000 for eligible hires. Relocation assistance also available!As a Surgical First Assistant, you will provide critical patient care by directly assisting the surgeon during operative procedures, working under their immediate direction. You will instrumental in ensuring a safe surgical experience through technical support for exposure, hemostasis, and wound closure. Every day you will collaborate closely with the surgical team, performing duties under the guidance of the operating surgeon, circulating nurse, and reporting to your designated Team Leader. This involves a range of assigned tasks to support the surgical process effectively. To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency in assisting the surgeon, maintaining acute awareness of the surgical field and patient safety.Job RequirementsEducation and ExperienceGraduate from an accredited surgical technology program required.One year of surgical technician experience required.One year Surgical Assisting experience preferred.Licensure and CertificationsCertified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists (CST/CSFA) required.Surgical Assistant (SA:KY) required.Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
