Evaluating complex life insurance risks, the full-time remote Life Insurance Underwriter will assess applications, make mortality and financial judgments, and collaborate with distribution teams to ensure optimal outcomes for clients. Key responsibilities Evaluate and manage all underwriting aspects of life insurance applications Determine acceptance, modification, or decline of risks based on medical and financial evaluations Communicate underwriting decisions effectively to customers and facilitate business placement Required qualifications High school diploma or GED 5+ years of life insurance underwriting experience $5+ million life insurance underwriting authority Expert knowledge of risk selection and underwriting concepts Experience with both term and permanent life insurance underwriting
