Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist for a 13-week assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Details

• Inpatient, emergency, and outpatient MRI caseload with daily volume that varies by day
• Located within a large 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma academic teaching hospital
• May float to other buildings on campus within clinical scope as needed
• Charting performed in Epic
• Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 11:30 AM–10:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Tech experience required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• SC state license required if applicable
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; approval is based on manager and unit needs
• Online orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
• Scrub colors are teal top and black bottom
• Parking is free on weekdays; a one-time $20 fee applies for a nights and weekends parking pass
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
