Job Summary

The Project Accountant I will be responsible for daily tasks associated with various projects. Primary responsibilities will be focused on processing subcontract payables and ensuring that subcontractor payments are in accordance with all contractual and company requirements. As a part of the Operational Accounting Team, the Project Accountant I will be working in collaboration with Project Accountant groups II, III, IV and V as well as project teams.

Salary Range

$36.00 - $40.50 hourly, $74,880.00 - $84,240.00 annually (companywide)

Job Responsibilities

Subcontractor Payables:

• Update/maintain GCPay Master Job List with new projects.
• Link subcontracts entered in CMiC to GCPay.
• Update subcontract and change order status in CMiC to fully executed.
• Log Construction Preliminary Notices.
• Utilize/maintain electronic filing system. Index fully executed subcontracts, change orders and preliminary notices.
• Review subcontractor applications, lien releases and affidavits of suppliers for accuracy and billing requirements.
• Verify subcontractor prevailing wage requirement when applicable.
• Notify subcontractors of missing or non-compliant billing requirements.
• Follow up and communicate with project managers and subcontractors throughout the payment process to completion.
• Process subcontract payments.
• Update/maintain excel Held Report.

Job Cost:

• Process job cost transfers for material, equipment and other related costs.
• Compile invoice/documentation for monthly owner substantiation.
• General accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year of accounts payable construction background.
• Must be collaborative and work within a "shared inbox" system.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 1 year of experience working with Excel.
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion.
• Attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills required.
• Excellent commitment to customer service.
• GCPay Online billing platform knowledge a plus.
• CMIC experience a plus.

Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
