Job Description: The Student Recruitment and Admission Officer is responsible for representing Bellarmine University to multiple constituencies, including prospective students, their families, high school guidance staff and community contacts. This role will help in the expansion and diversification of Bellarmine's student population and geographical reach. The Student and Recruitment Officer will independently develop and implement recruiting initiatives to meet application and enrollment goals. The officer will conduct a holistic review of first‑year, transfer and graduate student applications for their assigned school, and others as assigned. This position must be effective at independently planning recruitment strategies including high school visits, area receptions and individual meetings for their assigned territory of travel. Primary Responsibilities: Work with Assistant Dean and senior leadership to determine territory and market areas for recruitment of qualified high school, transfer, graduate students. Achieve targeted recruitment goals and build relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned school and territory. Travel extensively to maintain assigned territory. Establish relationships with key schools in select markets (through high school visits, counselor breakfast meetings, college fairs, receptions, alumni networking, and other events either in person or virtually). Manage admission applications of students in assigned schools: assist students through admission process, read, review, interview, gain reference from counselors and make admission recommendations. Maintain contacts with prospective students and events in Slate CRM; respond to inquiries for admission information by phone, email, text and in person. Maintain accurate reports and records pertaining to high school visits, telephone contacts, admission files and year-end recruitment analysis. Provide prospective students and their families with basic scholarship and financial aid information. Participate in weekly team meetings, frequent supervisor check‑ins; on‑campus admission committee meetings and other required visits. Track expenses and coordinate activities to stay within recruitment budget; evaluate ROI of strategies in assigned territory. Manage additional tasks as assigned by Assistant Dean and senior leadership. Requirements: One year of work experience preferred. Self‑motivated and demonstrated ability to function independently and conduct responsibilities from residence. Ability to work and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to equity and inclusion. Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills; excellent presentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in student recruitment, education advocacy or college counseling. Experience working in an institution of higher education. Knowledge and understanding of Slate (or a Customer Relationship Management system). Demonstrated ability to present information to small and large groups.
