Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Systems Supervisor to support our food safety and quality initiatives. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with BRCGS standards, supporting third-party audits, overseeing the sanitation department, and partnering with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are met.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong food manufacturing quality background who enjoys working cross-functionally and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements:- Assist with maintaining BRCGS certification and annual audit requirements.
- Ensure the facility remains audit-ready for all third-party inspections.
- Maintain food safety documentation and quality records.
- Partner with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor product quality, including appearance, size, texture, taste, packaging, and overall consistency.
- Supervise the Quality Systems Technician(s) and Sanitation Department.
- Order sanitation chemicals and supplies.
- Investigate quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
- Promote a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of quality assurance or quality systems experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of BRCGS, GMPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience preparing for or participating in third-party audits.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
