Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant- Hospital and Home Health

Position Details City/State: Virginia Beach, VA Work shift: First (Days) Full‑time, permanent position (40 hours) – standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, Monday–Friday. Travel: will travel to all hospitals, hospice, home health, and outpatient pharmacies across Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina. Location: reports daily at 1330 Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, VA. Responsibilities Develop and implement processes to support system‑wide ongoing compliance with accreditation and regulatory agencies and standards. Provide consultation to all divisions regarding accreditation and regulatory affairs and compliance. Serve as resource on accreditation and regulatory requirements and the development of policies and procedures. Advise on Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and share knowledge of processes to meet compliance with identified accreditation/regulatory standards. Research and obtain interpretations of standards compliance requirements. Assist with the development of processes to support ongoing service readiness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare‑related field (required). No specific certification or licensure required. Minimum of 3 years recent accreditation and regulatory experience (required). Internal candidates with at least 5 years recent experience in Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs may substitute for the education requirement. Enrolled in or pursuing a bachelor’s degree (required). Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts (required). Clinical experience in a hospital or home health/hospice setting preferred.
