DESCRIPTIONMarket of Choice Cedar Mill is now hiring for cooks to join our friendly and professional work environment. This position starts at $19.00/hour - $21.00/hour depending on experience with growth opportunity up to $24.00/hour.Market of Choice is a growing, local company with excellent benefits and opportunity for growth. Market of Choice employees create a pleasant in-store atmosphere and provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service. As Cook, you will report to the Kitchen Manager and some of your responsibilities will include:Assisting Chef/Kitchen Manager in daily activitiesConsulting with the Chef/Kitchen Manager on a daily basis to ensure that timing of orders and production schedules are coordinatedProduction of sandwich, salad, entree, catering trays and soup for the hot and cold casesCounter work when needed during busy periodsTimely delivery of assigned orders and other orders as neededAssisting the Chef/ Kitchen Manager with ordering and maintaining inventory of fresh, frozen, and sundry products for use in the departmentTraining new kitchen workers and assistantsPrepare deep fried, baked, stove top foods, and saladsMaintain positive relations with customers, vendors and employeesMaintain Health and Safety sanitation requirementsHave a current Food Handler cardQUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will have at least 1 year professional cooking experience.
