Admissions Coordinator Nursing Home

Now hiring an Admissions Coordinator with skilled nursing experience. Excellent team, competitive pay and career growth! Pay Range: $69,000.00 - 72,000.00 per year, full time Admission Coordinator Duties Include: Working with & assisting the Director of Admissions to ensure the proper processing of admissions. Ensuring prompt responses to all referrals. Interviewing residents/guardians, obtaining required admission information. Verifying & obtaining authorization from insurance companies. Interacting with hospital case managers, families & other departments related to admitting referrals. Collecting, assembling, checking, & filing admission paperwork. Forwarding to appropriate department as needed. Maintaining daily/monthly census reports, and resident waiting lists. Abstracting information from records as required for insurance companies. Reviewing room rates, billing procedures, visitor privileges, restrictions, care procedures, etc. to admissions/guardians. Referring admission problems to proper department (nursing, social services, etc.) Remaining current with Medicare/Medicaid regulations that govern facility admission & discharge requirements. Assisting business office personnel and other clerical duties as directed. Admission Coordinator Requirements Include: Highschool degree or equivalent. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written). Experience in Long Term Care preferred. Must be organized.
