Unit Notes need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. Holiday time off will be considered, however Med Sol prescreens & manager has 24 hrs to reject candidate, then auto-offer will be extended---- PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH RELIAS IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PLEASE NOTE IT'S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS (TEST A SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST AND IF NOT PASSED, TEST B SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE). A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS ALSO REQUIRED. YOU'LL NEED TO SET YOUR TRAVELER UP FOR THIS EXAM IMMEDIATELY. DIGNITY FACILITY-WIDE ORIENTATION IS IN SACRAMENTO - NOT GRASS VALLEY! - Unit: ICCU - MSCC (MedSurg Concentrated Care) - # beds: 10 with swing bed capacity. Bed population mix can vary depending on census. - Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS (preferred), NIHSS - Ratios: 1:2, 1:3 Stepdown, swing beds. - EMR: Cerner - Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief. - Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Holidays: Rotate in with core staff - Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy. - Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips. - Vents: Yes - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves "available" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available. - Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Primarily medical ICU, resp failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleed, psych holds with sitters if aggitated, some pediatrics. Travelers will not take peds. Can also have PACU patients after hours. - Additional Notes: Utilize Tele-med robots. Horseshoe layout. COVID REQUIREMENT: Medical declination -accompanied by a physician's note Religious declination, no supporting documentation is needed.
