CLINICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST (RADIOLOGY)

Position Requirements / Qualifications: Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of office skills and business procedures. Experience and a clear understanding of the workings in healthcare environment. Experience with workflow knowledge and assessment abilities preferred. Licensure / Certification: Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association. Skills / Ability: Excellent communications skills: ability to communicate effectively with off-site vendors and tech support. Strong computer skills, and standard desktop applications. Strong networking and troubleshooting skills. Understand the operation of our network and able to correct potential demographic errors in reports. Ability to prioritize and integrate multiple technical and clinical responsibilities. Good organizational and documentation skills. Ability to recognize clinical urgencies. Ability to communicate with patients and providers. Work effectively with clinical staff. position: CLINICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST CLERK POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain and order supplies and forms (revising departmental forms when necessary). * Assist with clerical functions, ensuring thorough, accurate, well-organized, accessible documentation. * Coordinate as needed with staff in the HIM department, and Radiology/Imaging regarding the process to release information for releasing films on CD's for patients and subpoenas as needed. * Follow departmental policies and procedures. * Demonstrates good judgment and an ability to organize work to obtain maximum quality and efficiency. * Thoroughly understands the equipment and its capabilities. * Adheres to Patient Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations. * Accurately performs and documents all required quality control and quality assurance procedures. * Demonstrates a cooperative and respectful working relationship with patients, providers, and co-workers. * Assist the AVP for Ancillary Services with the tracking process of the transmittal workflow, contracts, and invoices. * Ensure requisitions and invoices are appropriately processed as required. * Attend departmental and institutional meetings as required. * Create meetings via Teams/Zoom/Conference Calls, as needed. * Assists with meetings by preparing and distributing agendas, taking minutes, and transcribing minutes of meetings into an appropriate format within five workdays of the date the meeting was held. * Assist with typing, gathering, duplicating, and assembling materials to be covered in various meetings * Reports to work on time and is ready to work with minimal absenteeism. * Answer telephone, take accurate and legible messages, and route telephone calls and messages to the appropriate person. * Presents a clean, neat appearance according to CHI Guidelines. * Pick up and distribute mail from the mailroom. * Adhere to Departmental Policies and Procedures. * Knowledgeable of the workflow of the Ancillary Services Departments assigned to AVP for Ancillary Services and provide clerical support in those areas as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
