Maintenance ManagerOur client is a Tier 1+2 supplier of injection molded components to German OEMs located in commuting range of Anderson, SC and Gainesville, GA. As the Maintenance Manager, you would lead a team of 10 technicians and supervisors in their activities on a 2-3 shift operation. Objectives The responsibility of the Maintenance Manager is to oversee all functions of the Maintenance area. They will perform the assigned tasks according to the direction of their manager. The Maintenance Manager will report to the President.Responsibilities:Oversee all maintenance functions and personnelPrepare reports and documentation for maintenance area as required.Maintenance and repair of injection molding machines, mills, control instruments, extraction units, water and compressor systems, dryer and vibration welding systems.Perform maintenance and reconstruction work throughout the plantConstruction of special controls for different machines (e.g. internal gas pressure, etc)Performing of all installations throughout the facilities such as cabling, electrical, lighting, telephone, etc.Gripper construction for extraction unitsScheduling work orders to minimize production disruptionOrdering and maintaining working spare partsSupport tool servicing of the relevant hot runner systems and core pulling systems (hydraulically, electrically, and pneumatically)Ensure equipment is maintained and utilized effectivelyMonitor parts and labor budget and staffing requirementsResponsible for supervision, training, and evaluation of maintenance employeesSupport the implementation of the defined 5s standardEnsure that all safety guidelines outlined by OSHA and The COMPANY are followedReport immediately any changes in quality, production, safety, security, and environment to the Vice PresidentCoordinate with all departments of the company to promote good communication, good quality, and the best interest of the companyIndependent monitoring after initial training and informs appropriate employee of any issues.Independent recognition of flaw features as well as actively contributing to detecting defects.Forwards suggestions for improvement to manager.Comply with all regulations regarding workplace safety and accident prevention in everyday operations as well as informing the manager if deviations are detected during the shift.Other:Maintain effective communication with all other departments and locationsHands-on in production area as neededBehave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the companyMaintain effective communication with all other departments and locationsAccurately complete appropriate paperwork and/or enter into computer as requiredAssist in the training of new employeesContinuous participation in improvement of processes and proceduresResponsible for the cleanliness of the work areasSupports staff to ensure all regulations regarding order and cleanliness are complied with throughout the company.Contributes continuously to improve processes, procedures, operational figures, and informs the manager about suggestions for improvements.Other management assigned tasks, as requiredQualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experienceProven leadership skillsMust have experience working with German OEM/suppliersMust have electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, and robotics training/experience.Must be able to demonstrate highly mechanical and electrical aptitude to execute essential functionsGood communication skills with floor associates, vendor and managersRequired to read and write proficiently in English to understand manuals, directions, relative periodicals, etc. and communicate information in writing to associates, management and vendorsMust be able to prioritize and effectively execute multiple projectsProficiency in Excel and Microsoft programsExcellent attention to detailStrong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skillsApplicant must have five years maintenance experienceApplicant must have minimum 5 years plastic injection molding maintenance experienceMust have good vision and eyesightBe a self-starter and work independentlyMust be productive in a team environmentMust be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of timeMust be willing to be on call and report to work during off hours when neededRequired to work overtime as scheduledOccasionally travel to customers, vendors or other locations including internationalWhy is This a Great Opportunity:Client has 2 new contracts with OEM's and continues to grow.Diverse workforceAbility to make an impact.
