Building Maintenance Technician

Reports to: Central FacilitiesSupervisor Hours Commitment:40-45hoursper weekwith regular weekend responsibilities. Objective: Toshow others that they matter to God by being committed to the physical campus maintenance needs and helping to remove distractions by creating safe and clean environments so that guests will want to return. Primary Responsibilities: Fulfillbuilding maintenanceandgroundsneeds ina timelyfashion. Order/receive supplies and equipment for maintenance and upkeep of church property. Ensure thetimelycompletion of required and budgeted inspections and documentation related to the physical plant and grounds. Ensure the effective usage of general storage areas, keeping them organized, clean, and within proper access guidelines. Assist the Director in recruiting, training, encouraging, and supervising volunteers performing various physical plant and campus related tasks. Attendappropriate eventsto enhance related skills andkeepabreast of related techniques,equipment,and products. Maintain an MSDS program. Participatein building security rotation. Participatein the on-call rotation. Participate regularlyinweekend work hours. Complete preventative maintenance program. Complete corrective work orders. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Demonstrate commitment to ministry and encouragement of others toward the same. Exhibits pride in the facility and vehicles of LCBC and an attitude of caring for the congregation, staff, and guests. Ability to assess weather effects on deliveries and address them effectivelyand timely. Organizational and prioritizing skills related to assigned tasks. Must be flexible with schedulestomeet the needs and demands of the facility forspecial events, both scheduled and unscheduled. Physical ability to complete the job, including lifting approximately 75 pounds. Prefer a minimum of 4 years ofphysical plant andgroundsmaintenance experience. Demonstrated experience in a business, church, or parachurch environment witha record of accomplishmentof successfullyaccomplishinggoals. Ability to assess physical plant andgroundsneeds and address them in an effective andtimelymanner. Competency in computer driveHVAC,fire,and security systems. Computer skills and ability to learnadditionalsoftware.
