Our Neurology Sleep Practice is seeking a Neuro Diagnostic Technician to perform a wide range of routine and complex neurodiagnostic procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations across all age groups, including EEGs, nerve conduction studies, EMG assistance, and evoked potential studies, while identifying clinical events and applying independent technical expertise while ensuring accurate patient documentation and database entry and maintaining clean, functional equipment and recording areas and delivering safe, efficient, patient-centered care with minimal supervision.The overview of responsibilities includes but is not limited to:Demonstrate successful technical/patient skills by efficiently performing electro neurodiagnostic studies on out-patient and inpatient portables.Provide age-specific care to patients.Provide preliminary results to other medical personnel upon request.Maintain equipment and recording area in a clean and operational condition.Demonstrate behaviors which significantly impact the productivity, efficiency or quality of the laboratory or department.Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.Clip ambulatory EEG records in a timely manner.Be familiar with departmental and ASET guidelines for specialized tests as mentioned above without direct supervision on all recording devices.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited Electroencephalographic Technology program, or equivalent formal trainingLicense/Certification: REEGT and CPR CertificationExperience: Minimum of two years of documented experience in EEG; trained in Evoked Potential and Nerve Conduction Studies with at least one year of experience; registry in EP and/or NCS preferred.Special Aptitudes:Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, computer, typing, transcription, and filing skills, with excellent attention to detail. Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions, manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintain accurate and organized work.
