Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper

First Colonial Landscapes is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records using QuickBooks Online. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a small business environment. Responsibilities Manage all daily bookkeeping and accounting functions Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding balances Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking Process weekly payroll and ensure payroll records are accurate Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and subcontractor records Assist Controller and CPA with year-end reporting and tax preparation Monitor job costing and project profitability as required Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information Qualifications Previous experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar accounting role Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Experience with payroll processing and reconciliations Strong organizational and time management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Landscaping, construction, or service industry experience preferred Position Details Part-time position (hours flexible based on experience and workload -approximately 20 hours per week) This position offers a hybrid work model. While most responsibilities can be performed remotely, the successful candidate must be available to pick up physical mail in Virginia Beach at least once per week.
