Job Summary:

Front Range Community College is hiring a part-time instructor for the Business for Creative Industries (BCI) Bachelor of Applied Science program. BCI prepares students to lead in creative fields — merging business strategy, marketing, and project management with the practical demands of design, media, and creative production. We're looking for an instructor with real-world creative industry experience who can bring practical, current expertise into the classroom and help students bridge the gap between creative skill and business acumen. Flexible schedule; ideal for working professionals looking to teach part-time.

Teach one or more sections of Business for Creative Industries (BCI) coursework, delivering instruction that connects creative practice with business strategy, marketing, and project management. Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with course learning outcomes. Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work and hold regular office hours or availability for student support. Incorporate real-world, industry-relevant examples and current creative-industry practices into coursework. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and grades, in accordance with college policy. Participate in course-level coordination with program faculty as needed, including occasional curriculum discussions or updates. Uphold FRCC academic policies, including standards for academic integrity and accessibility.

Course assignments are made based on experience, availability, and the needs of the department; as a result, you may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in one of several related degrees listed below.

OR

• Master’s degree in any field, plus 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below.

OR

• Master’s in Business Management, Business, Project Management, Leadership, Marketing plus 5 years of industry experience in a creative industry.

OR

• (Equivalent Experience) Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 5 years of industry experience in a creative field and related to the subject matter specific to courses being taught.

 

Related Degree: Music Business, Recording Arts, Music, Fine Arts, Art and Design, Architecture, Creative Business Leadership, Design Management, Creative Technology, Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Web Design, Video or Animation, Interior Design, Building Science, Computer Aided Drafting or related field.

Selection Process:

The selection process for this instructor position will be conducted through a competitive, merit-based evaluation of all qualified applicants. Preliminary screening will be based on the completed application package submitted by the candidate. the needs of the College.
