Overview

Vayan Group is seeking a hands-on Containment Team Lead / Lead Inspector to support daily containment and inspection operations within automotive manufacturing environments. This role is responsible for overseeing inspection activities, supporting inspectors on the production floor, ensuring customer compliance, and maintaining proper material flow throughout containment operations.

The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of performing both leadership and inspection responsibilities as operational needs require.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform both inspector and supervisory duties as needed.

· Train personnel to standardized work instructions and ensure accurate data entry for I-Charts.

· Conduct validation audits of inspection personnel and ensure VW compliance standards are followed, including TM dress code requirements.

· Ensure non-conforming material is properly identified and processed according to VW procedures.

· Interface with TPL and logistics teams to support proper material flow in and out of containment areas.

· Support lineside and SUMA inspectors with material handling, supplies, questions, and break coverage.

· Review rejected material for proper processing and escalation when necessary.

· Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements

· Previous automotive quality inspection or containment experience required.

· Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

· Strong understanding of OEM manufacturing environments and quality processes.

· Ability to train employees and communicate effectively with teams and customers.

· Basic computer and reporting skills required.

· Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Additional Manufacturing or quality-related training preferred.
