Role Highlights:

• Immediate need for two paraprofessionals: one in a high school life skills classroom, and one as a 1:1 personal care assistant for a middle school student with autism.
• Work closely with educators and support staff to foster a positive learning experience.
• Address diverse student needs, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Engage in daily responsibilities that may include facilitating classroom activities, providing behavior support, and encouraging student independence.
• Maintain a structured Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, averaging 35-37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience required.
• Behavioral support experience preferred, especially for the 1:1 role.
• Candidates must possess either a paraprofessional certificate, 48+ college credits, or an associate’s degree (or higher). If not, a paraprofessional certificate must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• A passion for working with students with diverse needs, particularly those with behavioral and developmental challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Support classroom instruction and student engagement.
• Provide individual guidance and behavioral assistance, especially in the 1:1 role.
• Track and communicate student progress and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to promote student success.
