Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Binghamton, New York

$55 - $72 per hour

An opportunity is available for a Full-Time Floating Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Vestal, NY. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated to deliver excellent patient care while ensuring efficient pharmacy management.

Setting: Retail Pharmacy
Position Type: Permanent
Hours: 36 hours bi-weekly
Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and maximize profitability.
Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and dispense medications and medical compounds, including prescription and non-prescription products.
Provide expert advice to self-medicating patients and maintain communication with healthcare providers and insurance professionals.
Administer patient immunizations regularly to promote community health.
In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee scheduling, performance recognition, discipline, and work assignments for pharmacy staff to maintain operational efficiency and meet business objectives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
Current and valid New York State Pharmacist License.
Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and patient counseling.
Ability to take initiative and lead pharmacy associates when needed.
