Location: Dayton / Miami Valley area, OH (hybrid) Compensation: $50,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
About the Opportunity
A well-established regional CPA and advisory firm in the Dayton and Miami Valley area is looking for an Audit Associate to join its assurance practice. You'll work on audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients, learn from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation with a clear path to Audit Senior.
What You'll Do
- Perform audit procedures and testing on engagements for private companies and nonprofits
- Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial statement preparation and disclosures
- Interact with client personnel to gather information
- Identify issues and communicate them to seniors and managers
- Learn audit software and firm methodology
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years of audit experience in public accounting (internships count)
- CPA-eligible or actively pursuing the CPA (preferred)
- Solid Excel and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear communication and a team-first attitude
