Estimator - Commercial Construction - Remote


A growing and highly respected commercial Developer is confidentially seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented construction professional who enjoys the preconstruction process, understands the importance of accuracy and strategy, and can effectively communicate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.


Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, bid documents, and RFPs
• Analyze project scope, constructability, labor, materials, and overall project costs
• Coordinate with architects, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the preconstruction process
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop and manage bid packages, scope sheets, and bid leveling documentation
• Identify potential risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
• Track project costs against estimates and historical pricing data
• Assist in developing competitive proposals and supporting preconstruction strategy
• Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders during estimating and preconstruction phases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Construction, or related field preferred
• Equivalent industry experience will also be considered
• 3+ years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and project delivery

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, Destini Estimator, Primavera P6, or similar construction software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple deadlines
