• Shift: Inpatient, 7:30 am 4:00 pm; On call shifts from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am (beeper)
• Hours/Week: 40+ hours
• Employment Type: Locum / Contract
• Licenses/Certs: Active CA license, DEA, BC required
• Experience: Prefer candidates with skills in endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, EKG interpretation, labs, ECMO, IABP, Impella; prior surgical assistance experience preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (to be filled out with actual rate upon application)

What You ll Do:

• Provide inpatient care including rounding on post-operative patients
• Assist in cardiovascular surgeries and procedures
• Conduct patient assessments in clinic settings
• Collaborate with surgical teams during procedures such as endoscopic and radial artery harvesting
• Interpret EKGs, X-rays, labs, and manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
• Participate in on-call rotations for night and weekend coverage
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and provide high-quality patient care

What You Need:

• Active California license and DEA registration
• Board Certification in Physician Assistant (BC) required
• Minimum of several years experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery preferred
• Proficiency in surgical assistance, device management, and diagnostic interpretation
• Ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment
