Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) Job Description The Computed Tomography Technologist independently performs imaging procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position requires a strong understanding of CT protocols and the ability to apply independent judgment and technical skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Independently perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration. Adjust protocols based on patient needs while applying prescribed ionizing radiation accurately for diagnostic purposes. Utilize complex imaging equipment for the acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data. Demonstrate proper venipuncture techniques and utilize power injectors according to departmental protocols. Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration. Communicate effectively with both patients and co-workers, providing support and information to ease patient concerns. Ensure proper patient identification using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol during procedures. Document patient histories in electronic records as needed and ensure exams are coded, tracked, and charged correctly. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was obtained or date of hire. Minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Licenses & Certifications: ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73.
