Title: Packaging Operator – Second Shift

Location: Woburn, MA 01801

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; overtime as needed

Position Summary

This position supports the packaging of plant-based hemostatic powder products used in clinical and commercial applications. The role is responsible for manually inspecting, labeling, and packaging finished products while following established procedures, quality specifications, and documentation requirements. The position also involves inspecting packaging components and in-process materials, maintaining accurate manufacturing records, performing inventory counts, and keeping the packaging area and equipment clean.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually inspect, label, and package clinical and commercial products according to established procedures and quality specifications.
• Perform finished product packaging to meet customer, internal, clinical, and other production requirements.
• Inspect in-process packaging and components to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products or packaging materials.
• Complete accurate manufacturing documentation, including device history records, batch records, and inventory counts.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations as needed to complete batch records and other manufacturing documentation.
• Assist with inventory counting activities as required.
• Participate in safety audits and daily safety discussions and observations.
• Perform routine cleaning of packaging stations and processing equipment.
• Follow all personal protective equipment and product contamination control requirements, including gowning procedures.
• Handle hazardous waste appropriately and follow applicable safety procedures.
• Follow all established procedures and quality specifications and maintain good documentation practices.
• Use computers and general business software as needed for the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6-12 months of industry work experience.
• Familiarity with computers and general business software.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed and remain flexible regarding overtime hours.
• Must be able to work the assigned second shift schedule.

Work Environment And Safety

The position involves packaging plant-based hemostatic powder products. The primary hazardous material used in the work area is a 70/30 alcohol solution used for cleaning, which is hazardous due to its flammability. Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures, personal protective equipment requirements, contamination control procedures, and hazardous waste handling requirements.
