We strive to give our customers the best personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our awesome staff!Who We're Looking For:We're currently looking to hire an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.Requirements:Experienced as a Veterinary TechnicianKnowledge of industry tools and equipment is a plus. Experience working with these tools is even betterPassion for working with animals and their ownersAbility to learn proper animal handling, fear-free training, and restraintAbility to learn common treatments and processes normally found in a veterinary hospital settingExcellent communication and ability to gain strong organizational skillsPay Range: $25.00 based on experience.No weekends and no late evening shifts.QualificationsExperience as a veterinary technician or assistant.Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.What Makes Us DifferentReferral program – join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!Career development and advancement opportunities.CE programs provided by AmeriVet at NO cost to you!LI-KC-1At AmeriVet, we’re committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
