Scrum Master

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Scrum Master to join our team and lead agile delivery for multiple cross‑functional teams in our T2 business unit. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing blockers, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and transparency. You’ll work closely with program management, product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of business outcomes. This role is situated in a center of excellence structure within the Verra Mobility Program Management Office. Essential Responsibilities Serve as Scrum Master for one or more agile teams, influencing successful delivery of large impact and/or cross‑functional initiatives. Facilitate key ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Help teams continuously improve by identifying and addressing process inefficiencies. Serve as the Lean‑Agile champion and change agent to their aligned program or value stream. Protect the team from distractions and ensure a healthy, productive environment. Collaborate with Product Owners on backlog management and priority alignment. Track and report out on delivery metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to help teams optimize performance. Remove roadblocks and serve as a point of escalation for delivery challenges. Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and stakeholders to ensure alignment across teams. Subject matter expert for agile/lean/scrum practices. Apply and implement effective scaling methodologies, processes, and tools. Define, create, and manage agile performance metrics across the portfolio for the organization through dashboards, reports, etc. Keep abreast and share agile/scrum best practices. Educate, train, and share with organizations, documenting best practices and implementing standard work. Required Qualifications Certified Scrum Master with at least 4 years of hands‑on experience. Hands‑on experience with advanced skills in Jira tool set, including creating dashboards, metrics. Proven track record of setting up and operating in scaled and distributed environments. Excellent communication skills with proven ability to interact with both clients and application end‑users, internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience in creating high‑performing agile teams. Additional Desired Qualifications Experience succeeding in Agile transformations, knowledge in SAFe. Experience operating within or supporting a product operating model framework of delivery.
