Job Details

• Location: Franklin, Indiana
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department experience, IV, EKG rhythm interpretation required
• Experience: 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Patient Population: Adult to geriatric patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, altered mental status, chest pain, stroke, COVID-19, SOB, moderate sedation cases, and more
• Unit Details: 26 beds, 3 trauma bays, treatment area with 4 beds; no separated triage, ER nurses independently manage patient holds; one designated lower ligature risk seclusion room with camera; 24/7 security onsite; approximately 60 patients processed daily
• Staffing & Operations: MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs; charge nurse assigned 24/7; house supervisor from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays; nursing staff and medics handle EKG, IV insertion, medication administration, transport, and lab draws; RT staff available 24/7 for breathing treatments, ABGs, intubation assistance; telemonitoring in place; radiology staff transport patients for imaging
• Schedule & Flexibility: 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling with manager oversight; every 3rd weekend required; holiday work flexibility; potential floating (primarily to sitters); no block scheduling; no standby required; RTO requests considered upfront, punctuality emphasized
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; no facial piercings (facemask compliant), no gauges; tattoos as long as appropriate
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Additional Notes: Commitment to the contract and punctuality are essential; no block scheduling; RTO needs upfront consent.
