Job Summary
Innovative Spine and Pain Institute is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Medical Assistant / Front Desk Registration candidate to join our growing team. This full-time position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with approximately two days per week dedicated to front desk registration duties and the remainder focused on direct patient care and clinical support.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and medication updates.
• Check patient vitals
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist nurses and doctors with basic medical care 
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care coordination for minimally invasive pain management procedures.
• Communicate with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and follow-up care.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure compliance with safety and infection-control standards.

Front Desk Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and authorizations.
• Collect copays and process patient paperwork.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively with clinical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required with relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills
• EPIC experience a plus 
• Strong attention to detail
