This position helps keep the Waste Management Program organized and on track through reliable clerical and administrative support. The role ensures that permit applications, data, and correspondence are handled accurately and on time. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Permit Review: Check permit applications for completeness, accuracy, and proper format
- Data Entry: Input permit and client information into the e-FACTS system in a timely manner
- Application Coordination: Prepare notifications, distribute application materials, and track progress through the review process
- Correspondence Handling: Log, transmit, and organize incoming and outgoing mail and documents related to permit applications
- Office Support: Type reports and forms, assist with scheduling, and manage phone calls and office supply needs
- Fee Management: Track and transmit permit fees, penalties, and reports to Administrative Services
Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Pittsburgh, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,108 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
