Geriatrician Opportunity
University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and a leading provider of primary care in Anne Arundel County, is seeking a BE/BC Geriatrician to join our established outpatient Primary Care group.
We welcome physicians who are board certified/board eligible in Geriatric Medicine, as well as experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians with a strong clinical interest and experience caring for older adults.

This is an excellent opportunity for a physician passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to an adult and geriatric population within a collaborative and well-established outpatient practice.
Full-time outpatient opportunity in Anne Arundel County, Maryland
Focus on the care of older adults and patients with complex medical needs
Manage acute and chronic conditions with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, functional health, and quality of life
Provide longitudinal care for patients with multiple chronic conditions and age-related health concerns
Approximately 18+ patients per day
Established primary care network with multiple practice locations throughout Anne Arundel County
Collaborative, physician- and APP-friendly practice environment
Opportunity to work closely with specialists and other members of the patient's care team
Supportive environment for physicians interested in developing or expanding a focus in geriatric medicine and healthy aging

As a UMMS Physician, You Can Expect

Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
Fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine preferred for candidates practicing as a geriatrician
Demonstrated interest or experience in the care of older adults
Current or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Maryland
Current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification
Ability to obtain appropriate clinical privileges within UMMS, as applicable
Meets applicable CME requirements for medical licensure and board certification
Demonstrates the qualifications and clinical experience necessary to perform the responsibilities of the position
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $300,000 annually
In addition to base salary, physicians are eligible for productivity and quality incentive opportunities and a comprehensive UMMS benefits package.
