Growing together.As a per diem, nonexempt Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; and procuring drugs. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.Locations: Hartgrove Hospital and Garfield Park Hospital are in Chicago, IL, and Riveredge Hospital is in Forest Park, IL.Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide PTO and as needed coverage as a float pharmacy technician between three hospitals, Hartgrove Hospital, Garfield Park Hospital, and Riveredge Hospital, up to 40 hours/week, preferably weekends. However, there are no regularly scheduled hours for this position.About the Pharmacies:Hartgrove Hospital - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm, weekends 7:00am - 3pm and utilizes Cerner and OmnicellGarfield Park Hospital - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-3:00pm, weekends 7:00am-3pm and utilizes HCS and OmnicellRiveredge Hospital - Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-6:00pm, weekends 8:00am-3pm and utilizes HCS and OmnicellPrimary Responsibilities:Prepare and dispense medications by measuring, counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacistAssist pharmacists and healthcare providers by gathering necessary information and supporting workflow efficiencyDeliver medications to patient care areas, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADCs) and nursing unitsMaintain medication inventory by restocking, tracking controlled substances, and monitoring expiration datesSupport medication safety initiatives, including double-checks, labeling, and documentationCollaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to ensure timely and safe medication deliveryComply with hospital policies and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state/federal regulationsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDCurrent Illinois Pharmacy Technician license in good standingPTCB/CPhT or ability to obtain within 90 daysA current, valid Illinois driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:Experience in a behavioral health hospital pharmacyAutomated dispensing machine experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
