Job TitleAcademic Year, Lecturer in Surveying Engineering TechnologyJob DescriptionThe School of Engineering Technology at the University of Maine invites applications for an academic year, Lecturer in Surveying Engineering Technology.The Surveying Engineering Technology program offers innovative in-person and online education at the undergraduate and graduate levels to serve both traditional and non-traditional students. The approximately 400 student population includes B.S undergraduates, undergraduate Certificate students, M.S. in Engineering Technology and Professional Science Masters students, Graduate Certificate students and Eng.D (Doctor of Engineering) students.The successful applicant will develop and teach online and in-person courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels of the curriculum and will be open to using teaching styles that reach a wide variety of remote students. Engineering technology faculty members clearly communicate with students the connections between principles and professional practice. The selected faculty member will be expected to engage in scholarship, professional service and/or consulting; service to the discipline and the community, as well as professional society activities; ETAC/ABET accreditation efforts; recruitment; student advising; and University committees.
