Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM shifts Monday through Friday, occasionally 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM based on department needs
• Option for 4x10 hour shifts with staggered schedules: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM with 30-minute lunch
• 13-week contract with 40 hours per week guaranteed
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Float between two clinical sites in Wilmington, NC coastal region (30-minute drive between locations)
• No call, weekend, or float requirements
• No dimensions or orientation needed - start directly in clinic
• Work with Varian linacs, CT simulators, and ARIA charting system
• Will not be expected to cut blocks, perform CT sims alone, or perform dose calculations
• Always paired with at least one other therapist and MD/RN on-site throughout the day
• Required certifications: ARRT T, BLS
• Minimum 2 years experience required, will accept first-time travelers
• Required skills include Adult Acute Care, IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, radiation safety, and external beam therapy
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• May be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved, must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Facility:

This healthcare organization operates two radiation therapy clinical sites in the coastal region, featuring state-of-the-art equipment including multiple Varian linacs and CT simulators. The facility maintains a high daily census of approximately 110 patients per day and provides comprehensive radiation therapy services with full interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, social services, and transportation. The organization emphasizes quality patient care with always having medical doctors and registered nurses on-site throughout treatment days.
