Description:
Applicants must start on the specified date.
Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty.
This unit handles a variety of patient diagnoses including diabetes, dementia, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, hip fractures, CHF, UTI, and other surgical recovery cases.
The nursing staff is expected to manage patient ratios of 1:6.
The shift is a night shift from 18:45 to 07:15.
Candidates may be required to float to other departments as needed.
There is a requirement to work every other weekend.
All staff must be open to working during emergencies or disasters.
Nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.
Previous charge experience is preferred, along with experience in electronic documentation systems.
Candidates’ experience in community hospital settings is highly valued.
