Sr. Construction Manager

Key Responsibilities Act as Carrier’s primary representative on assigned construction projects, advocating for the company’s interests and ensuring contractual obligations are met. Navigate government‑focused job site and documentation requirements. Monitor construction activities through regular site presence and participation in project meetings, ensuring work progresses safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. Review and independently assess multimillion‑dollar project budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and monitoring financial performance. Provide regular, clear reporting to senior leadership on project status, budget performance, schedule adherence, risks, and issues; act as a liaison between the field team and Carrier’s management. Identify potential risks and work with the on‑site team to implement mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and minimizing project disruptions. Review and evaluate budget estimates, project schedules, change orders, and risk assessments on behalf of Carrier, ensuring contractual and financial commitments are properly managed. Make real‑time decisions in collaboration with the on‑site project team, providing immediate approvals within the overall DOA framework and seeking additional approvals from senior leadership when necessary. Oversee subcontractors on site, verifying compliance with contract documents, codes, and safety requirements, validating quality of work, coordinating with other trades, aligning work to approved documents and schedules, and supporting commissioning and project close‑out. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Engineering. 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with significant leadership responsibility on large‑scale projects. Preferred Competencies Prior experience as an owner’s representative, project controls, or construction oversight capacity. In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, specific to government regulations and standards. Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget. Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and project portfolios. Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools. Ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, multi‑stakeholder environment while independently representing and protecting the interests of Carrier. Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $143,000.00 – $286,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
