Medical Surgical RN - 13 Week Contract

Shift: 07:00 - 19:00

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic medical surgical unit, focusing on delivering quality nursing services to patients with diverse needs.

Responsibilities

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Monitor patient progress and vital signs, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Assist with patient assessments and develop individual care plans.
Perform necessary nursing procedures, including starting IVs, inserting Foley catheters, and NG tubes.
Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Must have at least 1 year of nursing experience, including one travel assignment.
Valid RN state license.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
